Why Is My Gmail Not Syncing?

  • Some of your senders are blocked.

Gmail sync ensures that your messages appear consistently across all your devices. When you sync Gmail, new emails, sent items, and folder changes are automatically updated on your phone, computer, and tablet using your Google account credentials.

There are several reasons why Gmail is not syncing:

  1. Poor internet connection: First and foremost, make sure you are connected to the internet.

How Do I Sync Gmail on iPhone?

On iPhone or iPad, the steps to enable Gmail sync/automatic updating are simple.

Just go to Settings, then under General, select Data Usage and Synchronization Settings. Finish by choosing the synchronization duration in number of days (days of mail to sync Gmail).

Gmail Not Syncing on Android

On Android, several checks and adjustments must be made to ensure that the Gmail app synchronization is working.

First, you need to check that the app settings allow it. To do this, go to the Gmail app's Settings, then choose your Google account. Next, check the Synchronization or Gmail Synchronization box.

Next, make sure that your smartphone's additional settings do not prevent synchronization. Start by disabling battery-related limitations by following this path: Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > Gmail > Do not optimize.

Finally, enable automatic synchronization: in your smartphone's Settings, go to Users or Accounts. Click on Google, then select your Gmail account. Enable Sync Gmail.

Gmail Sync Settings on Web

The web version of Gmail includes regular automatic email refreshes. That said, you can enable desktop notifications by going to Gmail > Settings > See all settings > General > "Desktop notifications" > Enable notifications for new mail.

How Do I Sync Gmail with Outlook?

To sync Gmail in Outlook, you'll need to configure your Google account in Outlook using IMAP settings. Go to Gmail Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP > Enable IMAP, then add your Gmail account to Outlook using these server settings.

Syncing Gmail Across Devices

It’s up to you! As an administrator of the Letsignit platform, you choose whether or not to grant modification rights to your employees. These permissions are managed on an attribute-by-attribute basis, which means that you can decide to allow the employee to change their phone number, but not the address of your premises, for example.

  • If you opt for the Letsignit Desktop APP, they will be able to preview all their signatures and campaigns in this space. If they want to change their default signature to another one when sending an email, this will be done in their signature library in Outlook.
